While traveling to Glacier with my husband,my 6 and 4 year old sons, we stopped at Glacier Village Restaurant based on the reviews I read. While the food was marginal and the prices higher than expected, the reason for the scathing review is the service. We were at the restaurant in early June at 1:30pm. There were 2 other customers in the whole restaurant. After we finished our meal,my husband went to the register to pay.My husband paid in cash and when a different waitress than the one that served us, asked if he wanted his change, he told her, "Yes".As she handed the money to our waitress, my husband and I both overheard her tell our waitress,"the change is for you".My husband stood there and awaited his change for 15 minutes. All the while, several wait staff walked by and our waitress ignored him.During this time he told another waitress and a manager that he was waiting for his change, all to no avail. Finally, in frustration over being ignored, we left. Having been a waitress for 10 years there was not a doubt in my mind that this was calculated. What a scam! When I tried to call approximately 1/2 hour later to tell a manager, no one answered the phone. We made several attempts to call, but there was no answer. Don't bother stopping here!!!! There are many more restaurants to choose from!
