I have never been on such a short trail with so many waterfalls, including saving the best for last. Be sure to go all the way to Virginia Falls. We even saw a moose on the trail.

We took the Glacier Boat Tour on St. Mary Lake and hiked the extra distance to Virginia Falls. It isn't that much farther from St. Mary Falls, so I would recommend it if you have the time.

This was our favorite hike. The walk is surrounded by foliage and next to the river so you can hear water running and the falls as you approach it.

We began this hike by catching the hiker shuttle at the St. Marys Visitor Center. So glad we did because the parking lot at the trailhead was super full and it didn't take long at all for the shuttle to get us there. The hike was just excellent! An easy walk though the woods to two wonderful waterfalls, St. Marys and Virginia Falls. Both so pretty. It's a popular hike so don't expect solitude, but it's certainly one not to be missed. When we got back to the trailhead we didn't have to wait long for the shuttle to pick us up. How great is that?

This is an easy hike with two gorgeous falls before you reach Virginia Falls. St. Mary Falls and it's turquoise water is beyond words beautiful; then you come to a lovely cascading falls that isn't even named---this one would be a destination waterfall in most states. Virginia Falls is huge and cascading and you can stand it its mist and it is just heavenly. If you have members hiking with you that aren't up to hiking over a mile, they can stop at St. Mary Falls and wait for you in a lovely environment.
