This was definitely the best hike I have ever done! We first decided to do the Many Glacier boat tour from the Many Glacier hotel, which was a great decision, as it took off about 4 miles of the hike that day. When you get off the boat, your start ascending almost immediately and the entire hike is somewhat strenuous, especially on a hot day. As long as you bring plenty of water and take a few breaks, it is not a problem for people of most ages. The views are incredible from every part of the hike! You will see Grinnell Lake from above (gorgeous color of blue), as well as a few other lakes tucked in between the mountains. You will also walk through a small waterfall during the hike, which is very refreshing and fun! Bring protective gear for you camera in case it gets wet. The trail ends at Upper Grinnell Lake, which was filled with small icebergs near the current glacier. It was fun to take off you shoes, relax, have a snack, and put your feet in the ice-cold water! Every part of the day was exciting and worth it. I would definitely do it again!
