“Don't miss opportunity to eat here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014

We had the pleasure of eating at 229 Parks on Friday June 13 on the recommendation of Donna Gates of Tonglen Lake Lodge and some of her other guests. They could not have been more accurate! We enjoyed each and every bite; had it not been entirely rude, we would have liked to have licked our plates (just kidding).
I ordered the endive salad that had Julianned apples, candied pecans and a vinegarette. The tenderloin was so tender and seasoned perfectly. My husband had your lamb; the best he had ever eaten. Each bite was a delight. We watched as other guests got their meals and the expressions on their faces told us that we were not alone in our opinion of this restaurant....GREAT!!!!
We had a great 10 days seeing Alaska. It is such a beautiful state. We will always remember the animals and sea life, amazing scenery, friendly people and the great meal we had at this restaurant. We hope to one day return to Alaska to see more of it. Denali park and your place will be on our return itinerary.

“Phenomenal food”

What a find in the middle of Denali. This would be 5 star food in SF or a big city. Creative, innovative cuisine. A great place for foodies or anyone adventurous.

“Amazing food, had to go twice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

What a lovely restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner so much we had to go back again. I had the best salad I have ever had there--twice. The radicchio salad with Danish blue cheese, balsamic reduction and candied pecans was so perfect in taste and execution. My wife had the tomato heirloom salad, which was also lovely. Both the Alaska halibut and salmon dishes were amazing, with the fish cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Being thoroughly stuffed, we took dessert to go. The fruit tart was very good, the eclair just okay as the filling was a bit bland and the pastry not the freshest at 10pm.

For our second dinner, we both had the radicchio salad and then shared the sticky ribs, which were a bit on the dry side. I did not care as the salad was a homerun again and the spicy jalapeno margarita so refreshing.

Service both times was impeccable by a nice girl from the Bronx. We would never have known she had recently started as she was perfectly attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

“Nice place but...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

The decor and atmosphere is great, probably the nicest in the area. But the service is a stiff and pretentious, almost as if we were imposing. Food is decent but some in our group thought some of it was a little over-powering. The free range chicken and garden salad was good but the King crab pasta had a pathetic amount of crab.. Maybe a couple of spoon-fulls for $34.

“Poor service, sub-par food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

You have three options: don't eat, bring your own food in or eat their Sub-par food with bad service and plan to pay lots of $$$$
They have you boxed in.
If you are traveling and stop to eat in the park turn off your taste buds.
