Description: The Perch offers you cozy, private cabins, hotel rooms and lodging near Denali National Park. Tucked into the woods and bordered by pristine Carlo Creek, our cabins offer you an Alaskan experience that is truly unique.Tree-top dining at the Perch Restaurant is a wonderful way to begin and end your day. The restaurant is “perched” atop a gravel moraine left by a glacier. Each of our 13 bay windows has a spectacular view of the Alaska range and it's many glaciers. Weather permitting, you can dine on our large deck, or just sit out in the sun and enjoy a cocktail while you wait for dinner.

Great location outside of the town of Denali, about 5 miles. This restaurant sits on top of a hill so you can enjoy the surrounding of nature. If you are tired of the tourist traps, its worth your time to try it out. Its comparable to most prices in Alaska during the tourist season. Try the caribou medallions - Yummm

It was really surprising to find food of this high quality in the middle of the Alaskan mountains. When you travel through the wilderness usually you feel yourself at the time of eating condemned to the usual American fodder (sandwiches, burgers, pizzas...). Not here.

The grilled caribou medallions wrapped in bacon are no doubt, together with the flight and landing in the McKinley Glacier, one of the high peaks (no pun... etc) of my trip to Alaska. But the rest of the dishes were near that excellence: the King Crab legs, the Salmon, everything is really great!

Not forgetting the young, laconic host that served us. A rare case of a cult American, his conversation after the dinner was equally succulent and full of wisdom.
...And those views of the mountains!!!

An oasis of refinement in the rude wilderness.

My wife and I had the good fortune to stay at the Perch and had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Both meals were excellent. For dinner we had a wonderful salad with poached Halibut and a delicious strawberry rhubarb dressing. Breakfast was also delicious. The servers was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and beautifully decorated with fantastic vies in every direction. We can't wait to go back.

My family stopped at The Perch for dinner after a day of exploring Denali. We were really hungry and tired and in need of some TLC! That's just what we received at The Perch. We enjoyed a lovely table, a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous view, a nice crisp glass of Chardonnay, poached halibut for my husband, a yummy halibut sandwich and a fresh spring greens salad for me, delicious fettuccine for the kids, brownie a la mode for dessert. We couldn't have been more satisfied. Reasonably priced when compared to other restaurants in the area. Interesting conversation with the owner and a show from Barley topped off our evening. Don't miss this place, it's a winner.
