Get a Starbucks coffee while waiting for your early bus. Get early on the line to get a good bus seat.

The staff at the center were very helpful with our camping and bus arrangements. Just remember it closes at 8pm but opens very early.

This is where you purchase tickets and catch the buses for all the park tours. During season, be sure to reserve your tour ahead of time.

We took the 8 hour tour to Eilson, saw plenty of wildlife and although eight hours on a bus sounds daunting, there are numerous stops, facilities available and a comeraderie amongst fellow passengers. Take food and drinks, there is no place to purchase them along the way.

can get crowded with people waiting for shuttle buses, and people ordering, picking up tickets. food offerings pretty standard, bit overpriced. shuttle buses from local hotels stop here often which is convenient. riley creek shuttle takes you to visitor center about 1-2 miles away. a key stop for people going to the backcountry.

Although the service there is very good and there is a place where you can buy snacks and drinks, be aware that they don't sell bottled water. So either you bring your own water bottle and refill at the water refill area that they have or you buy your bottled water before you get there to take your tour.
