“A fun afternoon in beautiful Alaska”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

We booked this through Princess. The van picked us up at our lodge and we had about a 25 minute drive. We were combined with another group, and had eight of us doing the ATV thing. We were shown a brief safety video and then suited up with helmets. It was my first time, and the leader gave me good instructions. We followed in a line as we hit the trails. We went over lots of different kinds of terrain, and it was really fun. They gave us a few breaks, and our tour was around 3 hours. The setting is beautiful, with low mountains in the horizon. We came back pretty filthy with dust, so you might want to take advantage of the rain jackets they offer.

“Nice local tour”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were the only couple on our tour. The guide must pace the tour to the slowest member, so small groups are good.

It was close enough to our hotel that we were able to squeeze this in with another tour that day. We traveled a good distance across a variety of terrain, including a dry lake bed and tundra.

Overall, an excellent experience, but I imagine that each tour will be different depending upon the size and skill of the group. Larger, less experienced groups may see a lot less.

“They have golf too!”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

This place also has a 9 hole golf course. It is a fun little course with great views! They rate included greens fees, cart, clubs, ball and souviners! It was a great deal and the staff was very friendly. They let my kids play mini golf for free. The "pro shop" also has a resturant which is popular with the locals.

As one of the few golf courses in the 49th state it is worth visting!

“Trip in the Wilderness”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

We took a four seated ATV tour with Sammie, we had a great time and fantastic lunch at the log cabin. It's a great chance to see the surrounding wildlife get away from the crowds of the tour.

“Best Excursion of Our Alaska Trip.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

My wife, brother-in-law, nephew, sister and myself did the Black Diamond Treasure hunt one evening just outside of Denali National Park. This was our first excursion of our trip to Alaska and all other excursion were compared to this. This was our best excursion with only zip lining in Ketchikan coming up a close second. Our guide, Sammi, was the best. I cannot even begin to say how great she was as a guide and how great she was to all of us. She showed us so much on the property and kept us entertained and took great care of us. The dinner was excellent, so much to chose from and all of it was delicious. The complementary soda and beer didn't hurt either. We were fortunate to go on beautiful dry evening. With a lack of rain all the trails were dusty and we had dust everywhere. Wear appropriate clothing to get dusty and dirty! We got back to the hotel and did laundry immediately. Not for those not looking to have a real dirty adventure. Great value for the money and I would have done this over and over if we could.
