I stayed in the razorback cabin for 3 nights and it was great. Fantastic shuttle service into Denali NP in the mornings getting you there for 7am if required and returning at around 9pm giving you whole days in the park if required. you can of course start out later and come back earlier if need be. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Great place to stay in Denali and would definitely reccommend!

Great place to stay. Stayed two nights in two different cabins. Both were great. Simple but comfortable and clean. Hot showers, quiet and a great deal for the price. Great atmosphere and a good staff. It's about 15 miles south of the entrance to Denali Park. We spent the night then drove up to the Park in the morning and then stayed a second night after the all day bus ride through Denali. Highly recommend you plan on spending a night near the park after your park tour. The Tours are long but enjoyable and trying to drive a long distance after a long day in the park is something to avoid if you can.

I booked this hostel after hearing favorable reviews and finding Riley Creek Campground booked for the road lottery. The hostel was clean and the staff were friendly. I stayed in the woman's dorm that is in the upstairs portion of the octagon. The octagon is the common area where the kitchen, computer and lounge areas are located. There is a shower and toilet next to the dorm room that is only shared with the dorm and one private room, I never found it occupied. The dorm room is spacious with 6 bunks. The octagon was quiet and I was not disturbed by any of the socializing downstairs. Coffee is ready early in the morning and was a wonderful smell to wake up to. I had my own vehicle so the shuttle was not an issue though people should be aware of the distance from the park and lack of public transport. I was out early and late so it was dark when I arrived and left so I did not get a view of the grounds. I will definitely stay here again if get the opportunity.

My original reservation was for 3 nights in the male bunk room. But when it got down to 25F one night at the Tek Camground inside Denali NP I called the Denali Hostel hoping they would have a bed for an additional three nights. They were very friendly (though surprised I wanted to stay a total of six nights).

I have stayed at this hostel in the past, but it has been a couple of years. The bunk room was clean and has two bunk beds. The room itself is not large, but a decent amount of storage space is available in the room.

The real plus of the hostel is the Octagon - a large kitchen and common area/lounge to cook, eat, sit, talk, meet other travelers. They keep the hostel very clean, which is a plus.

Showers are toilet facilities are shared, as is the case with most hostels.

Rate for the bunk room is slightly more than other hostels, but they have a limited tourist season. They do open early and close rather late, which is a plus. I stayed through Sunday Sep 18th which was nice (Road Lottery).

The average age of the guests at this hostel is probably slightly older than at many hostels, especially during the Road Lottery. Not that it is good or bad, just an observation.

I will definitely stay at this hostel when I am not camping inside the park.

The cabins and grounds were very nice and clean and the surrounding scenery was gorgeous. The common area (kitchen and living room) was well stocked, organized and tidy. Other guests were very good about cleaning up after themselves. The only negative thing I can say is that if you're a light sleeper you'll need earplugs. I stayed in the women's dorm, which is on the floor above the common area. Even though there are quiet hours, I could hear everything going on downstairs. But, conveniently, there are earplugs for sale at the hostel for 75 cents. Overall it was a great experience.

We stayed here for a night before heading in to camp in Denali. It was a great location right on a lovely creek. Rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean. The kitchen was huge and also immaculate with lots of room for cooking and hanging out. Definitely would stay here again.
