About half hour informative talk and a little dog action. If you expect more demo or show, go to other places.

Take a walk around the site where the younger dogs are bred and trained or look at and listen to the older dogs as they wait for their chance to get out and pull.

Don't pay for the trip... there is a free shuttle from the visitor center... just be in line to get on the bus 30-40 minutes before the dog show since it is pretty popular. You get to see the dogs before the show and many of them you can pet. One of the dogs had had puppies a few weeks before we were there, so you could look into their area and see a "pile of puppies"... DH couldn't rub/scruffle one of the other dogs enough ... the dog was pressed up hard against the fence. The sled demo is pretty boring ... one lap around a field... but the ranger was full of info. Stand/sit in the stands closer to the kennels to get the best view of what is going on with the demo dogs.

There are not too many choices of things to see in the Denali Visitor's Center area. The sledog demo was great fun. Our 13 year old daughter loved visiting the dogs before the demonstration

The sled dog kennels are a short shuttle bus ride from the Visitor Centre located in the Park. We got a free courtesy coach from the Princess Wilderness Lodge, so the whole experience cost nothing. You get close to the dogs and see them pull a wheeled sled, together with a talk from a Park Ranger. Great for kids and adults alike.

A fun introduction to sled dogs, and an opportunity to meet the dogs. I would have liked to see the sled take a couple more laps of the course but definitely a worthwhile visit.

the husky dogs were not happy as their tails were between their legs and when the demonstration with the sled commenced two of the dogs broke out in an incredible fight way too vicious for the general public
rangers were totally disinterested the entire time

not an uplifting visit
