“Unfriendly and bad”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

Had lunch with the family and was shocked by the lousy service and time it took to get simple food. The waitress seemed extremely uninterested in us, and we got to out of fout orders wrong without any offer to replace the meals, and they even slapped a mandatory 15% service charge to the bill, I guess they would not ever have gotten any tips if not. In addition, it took ages for the food to be served, and the price was way to high. So stay away from this place, and plan other dining options.

“Superb Cold Beer”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

You check in to the hotel and need a drink. You've drunk around three liters of water in six hours, haven't been to the loo in the six hours for a rest but all the water has gone. You don't even sweat, it's simply gone. You are still thirsty. You walk into the restaurant and a pleasant smiling waitress greets you as if you are her best friend. "You look like you need a beer Sir". Some of the wisest words ever uttered. This really looks like a bar from the far west. I suppose it was the far west once. The beer was cold, local and excellent. the service spot on and the food basic but really good. Keep it up chaps.

“Poor food, poorer service”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Welcome to Stovepipe Wells restaurant where the meals are costly, the food mediocre, and the service slow and unfriendly. There are few options for places to eat, so I recommend coming to Death Valley with a well-stocked cooler and replenishing at a general store (also few and far between).

“A Wonderful Place to Stay”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We loved everything about this place except the price. But it's still better than Furnace Creek. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the pool is awesome, and the restaurant food is pretty good. The close proximity to the Dunes is fabulous...and it's right next to Mosaic Canyon, which is a great hike. We drove out to the Dunes around 9pm to see the stars...breathtaking!
