Food is expensive and crap. They have a good selection of beers and a nice porch to drink them. Burger + 1 Beer $29 + tip!?@!

These guys are so cheap that they use blue cheese salad dressing as a substitute for cheese on their burgers.... The fries were so drenched in fat that tasted like they'd been cooked yesterday.

The panamint resort is just as bad. Location is great and they know it.

Always very hot --the road is very long and up up up .many cars boil or break down.Plan to stop here .Great beer and restaurant service in an amazing setting. The R V over the road is a hoot ---you will love it though not flash. The restaurant supervisor who comes from Bridge Port is a wonderful ambassidor for American hospitality. A local tip ,put your automatic car into third range up and down these very long hills.Thank you supervisor we had a better time because of your advice

Locationally there isn't any choice. But that doesn't mean they are slap dash. It's a diner style menu burgers, salads etc and it is good. The beer selection is excellent.

They have a nice veranda where you can sit in the quiet and watch bats feeding and view the stars - just fabulous.

Food was just sub-par, though it definitely did qualify as food, barely. Lunch menu that consists of burgers priced $13 and up, and what I got I'm pretty sure was supermarket-generic frozen patty + frozen fries. The veggies were reasonably fresh, but the quality was not what I expect from a $13 burger. Outdoor seating available -- nice view of the highway and lots of flies to keep off of your food.

There's no other food available in the 20mile radius, so it IS a good option if what you're looking for is to avoid starvation at any cost -- their food did not make me sick after all. The waitress was averagely friendly. Bottom line -- next time I go to Death Valley, I'm going to plan ahead and make sure I don't have to eat at this restaurant.

Best lasagna I've ever had. Generous portions. More than 100 choices of beer. Lots of herbal teas. Waitresses are friendly, efficient, welcoming. Try eating at one of their outdoor tables or on the veranda. Needs to add less expensive choices on the menu.
