“A Must See”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

Don't leave Death Valley without a walk through the narrow canyon of Mosaic. In some places you can touch both sides of the canyon walls with your outstretched arms. Go early in the morning or late afternoon.

“Narrows to Navigate”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

This was a quick drive up a dirt road from our base at Stovepipe Wells Village and a short hike. I loved the bands of smooth marble in the rock. It was fun hiking the narrows formed by the sculpted rock walls. There were wildflowers to photograph too. The colors in the late afternoon sun at the entrance to the canyon were stunning. Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots as some climbing up rock stairs will be necessary as you push further into the canyon.

“Wonderful hike through beautiful narrows”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

It is a beautiful hike with sights of water carved canyons and narrows. There's an exposed spot where there's a wash but if you make it past it and to the next narrows, you see again some of the beautiful smooth marble curving through the canyons. Right next to Stovepipe Wells Village up a dirt road. It's a good a day hike. Take water.

“Good Hike in Mosaic Canyon”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

Good hike, lots of color, and a great view from the road leading up to the canyon. Couple hard rocks to climb over at the start, then it's easy. Can get shade from the canyon, but take plenty of water.

“Hike with easy climbing”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

After driving the rattling 2 mile gravel road drive up to Mosaic canyon, this is a stunning and fun walk/hike. It offers curves and twists and is fun to clamber up the sides of the trail. Bring water. We were parched though we hiked only 20 minutes in comfortable temps in the late afternoon. The first half mile is stunning so Mosaic canyon is a great destination if you are short on time but want a beautiful site
