This was a Death Valley highlight for us. The rocks pushed together in a conglomerate formation and then highly polished was fantastic. Of all the things we saw and experienced, this will remain with us in photo and memory. I loved watching a family with four children whose mother was encouraging them to go on yet another hike as we were all entering the canyon together. She enticed them with getting to see real marble. They were a bit whiny as only traveling children could be until they walked into the tight winding canyon and could reach out to touch the smooth walls, imagining the force of water which created the marble. They were as enchanted as the rest of us visiting that day.
