Owner description: A seemingly infinite number of crusted salt formations jut from the "course."

It's been a while since I've been there, but it's a cool place to go. If you are only there for a short time, you can skip it for the more popular things at the park.

out in the middle of the valley, what was Lake Manley - vast fields of salt crystals, usually blinding white if clean; the water table is very close to the surface here, and the formations are sharp - be careful when you walk around. Look for tiny crystals forming here and there.

The name is perfect. Stunning formations. Signs say to be careful here since one fall can cause a lot of hurt. Sharp edges are everywhere. Walk slowly and you can take a stroll on the course.

It is located about 1 mile off the paved highway. Drive at reduced speeds on this unpaved road. Not too crowded, you can even walk on the formations but with caution. When sun goes high, the pictures do not do justice to the view.

There are interesting salt formations to check out. If this wasn't located between the Badwater salt flats and Furnace creek, it wouldn't be worth the drive, but since it is, it's worth spending a little time there.
