A great place to see. Incredibly beautiful and extremely hot!
We got there about 11am, it was relatively quiet and peaceful but I would advise you try to get there a little earlier to catch the best of the light and peacefulness.
Great place to see - don't miss it.

Standing below sea level and seeing the "Sea Level" sign behind you on the mountainside is not to be missed. Go within 2 hrs of sunrise and take in the view without the crowd, but in the "shade". Easy half hour from Furnace Creek.

It's all been said before, this is a very beautiful place. Take plenty of water if you walk out on to the salt flat it gets very hot very quickly out there.

This was a worthwhile stop while in the Valley. It is quite interesting to walk out on the valley floor on the salt encrusted ancient seabed. A half hour here is fine.

Badwater is definitely one of the iconic features of Death Valley. First off, just standing there knowing that you're at the lowest elevation in the US is worth the trip. The salt crystals form an interesting mosaic tile pattern all across the basin. You can walk right out onto this flat landscape - try not to disturb the crusty edges. It's best seen in early morning or late afternoon as the side lighting really highlights the patterns.

Badwater is on the Furnace Creek side of the park on the same road as Golden Canyon and Artist's Palette. To see this landscape from above, make the Drive up to Dante's View.
