We arrived at Zabriske Point in the last moments of the sun setting - it was really a spectacular site and the silhouettes of people against the skyline as beautiful as the surrounding terrain. Returning to the parking lot, as I stood waiting for my husband to return, a small movement caught my eye. Out of a hole in the rocky ground appeared an exquisite, curious little fox, with very large ears. It stood and observed me, not a bit afraid of me, unnfortunately. Some people who had climbed into a car beside me lurched out of the doors of their car ... OH! quick lets feed it! I was less than polite in my explanation of why you shouldn't feed wild animals. I encouraged the fox to leave and it wandered off across the lot and down a hillside.
