“Lost in the view”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Besides Artist's Palate, I think this my next favorite. The landscape is stunning. Hiking from here is available but we didn't do it because it was too late. This is definitely the top 3 in my list.

“Best thing in Death Valley”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Simply stunning - don't miss it. Best to go early or late to get the wonderful colours from early or late sun.

“beautiful sunset”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

stayed in furnace creek, death valley. Drove up to Zabriskie point to see the sunset over the hills, many had the same idea. Not only the sunset, The rocks and dunes behind turned red. The death valley experience is a must. The rooms at furnace creek are welcoming and have air conditioning which is a must as the temperature outside reached 120f. Whilst in death valley there are scenic drives to explore and rock formations to see. Furnace creek resort has 2 restaurants, the waitress we had could not be more friendly she was so helpful with advising what we would like. Needless to say carrying plenty of water is a must. This visit was on our holiday between Yosemite and Las Vegas.

“Full Moon Rising”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went up here at night to hear a park ranger tell stories as we watched the full moon rise above the mountains. It was wonderful. The Park Ranger Rose had put portable red lights to help us find our way up to the point. Once up there, she told stories about the stars. It was a magical experience. If going at night a headlamp or flashlight helps.
