I went to Death Valley twice in the last two years, once on a sunny day in winter and once on a cloudy day in early spring. I must say the park looked much more beautiful in early spring with the clouds. Zabriskie Point gave me a perfect location for relaxation and photography when the clouds were over the area. The prior rain must have helped to clear the dust and make the air look crystal clear. The whole setting was just like a painting.
