It was easy to get the family up at 5:00 AM to be at Zabriskie Point for sunrise. There were lots of people there, waiting in the dark, and it was worth it. There's a paved path up to the viewing area, benches for resting and an easy climb down to the "roundy" rocks where people set up tripods. We chatted with people from all over, all giddy about seeing this beautiful sunrise on rock formations, backed by the Panamint Mountains.
