The road is full of turn-offs on the lake side, so driving clockwise means you can pull over without crossing traffic. And most of the stops and hikes have unique and amazing views, depending on the time of day. There are a lot of very narrow, curvy bits with steep drop-offs and plenty of deer out near dusk, so drive carefully. And if you're staying in the park, get up early for sunrise or stay up late for moonrise.
