“Best food we found in the area - no contest”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Nice staff. Great service. Their comfort food beat the other guys in the area hands down, and then there are the pies. Incredible pies. Enjoy.

“Good homemade soup”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel. It was a fair drive down the road and we had to queue for a table. Apparently they don't take bookings so you may have to wait a while as there don't seem to be many eating places nearby. The staff were very friendly, good atmosphere and tasty food. The homemade soups are especially good, served with a miniature loaf of bread. They seem to close fairly early in the evening.

“Don't Miss The Pie”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

We missed breakfast at the Bryce Lodge on our last day so asked for a recommendation from the Bryce Lodge staff for a good place nearby. The immediate suggestion was to go to the Bryce Canyon Pines Restaurant---where the locals like to go. We were told their homemade soup and pies were awesome.

The restaurant is part of the Bryce Canyon Pines Motel and is located a few miles outside of the Park on the way to Zion National Park. It's not a showy place, but we were there for the food, and we were not disappointed. We had a great breakfast at a great price, delivered quickly.

Since we were there at breakfast time, we didn’t have a chance to try out the soup, but we did get some boysenberry pie to go for our evening meal. Delicious! Skip Ruby’s and go here.

“Good just dont be in a hurry”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

This was recommended to us by the lady at our hotel. When we got there people were waiting waitress said it would be about 20 mins. Well ok there is not much of a choice in the area. So we waited. When we were finally seated it took another 20 mins to get a drink and we placed our order at that time. Another 20 mins for the food to come out. I think they only had 2 girls working the whole place. The food is good but after waiting 15mins or so after finishing our meal we had to go up to the counter to get our check and pay. I would suggest getting your tab when you get your food to avoid that wait.

“Mixed review - husband vs wife!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This place was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at over eating at their own restaurant (at the best western).
We had to wait quite a while to be seated as the place was very busy.
The food was like your mum would cook you, only bad thing was that mine included the soggy vegetables I remembered getting as a child. My husband on the other hand absolutely loved his meal and demolished it all!
Based on TA reviewed we had to try the pie - we had the apple pie and the lemon pie - I'm sorry but I just didn't like the apple pie (too much nutmeg and had this weird gelatinous consistency) and the lemon pie wasn't anything to write home about either. But once again my husband loved the pies!
In saying all of this Bryce Canyon doesn't really have a lot of options for eating out and this place probably is the best option.
