“Great food, especially the PIES”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Had dinner here during our stay at Bryce Canyon. This is a great restaurant - really good service, great food, and the pies are fantastic! I had the elk burger, which was well seasoned and delicious. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals. We shared several different types of pie for dessert, and they were all excellent. I highly recommend making the short drive here from Bryce when you're ready for dinner. You will not be disappointed.

“Homemade heaven”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Usually the words, "Save room for pie" elicit disinterest in my family. We loved this place - the trout was delicate and well prepared, the burgers excellent, and the pie SUPERB. We had coconut cream and a boysenberry. HIGHLY recommend for good, homestyle, American food. Extremely friendly service, humorous silly books on each table.

“Top notch service and good food”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but the wait was worth it. The doting service was wonderful - and the sirloin steak DELICIOUS especially after a long hike at Bryce Canyon. This was a much better choice than Ruby's down the road I must say!

“great food”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

Went there for dinner with my husband. Very good food! We both had the ground beef patty with gravy and sauteed veggies. Delicious! Had apple pie with ice cream. Soooo delicious! One of the best apple pies i've ever had. Would highly recommend it.

“Slooooow”
Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

We went to BCP well aware of the reviews citing slow service. But what we experienced was waaay beyond slow.

We were seated at 7pm after a reasonable wait. But, as mentioned in other reviews, it was quite a long wait until our orders were taken. And then, as expected, another longish wait until the soup arrived. The next wait, for the entrees, was even longer.

Then we were really disappointed. My friend ordered a porterhouse steak; it arrived almost cold, and was sent back to be warmed up. Our wives ordered breaded veal cutlets; they were inedible and were sent back to be replaced by grilled chicken breasts. I ordered a ribeye steak. It was reasonable, although not very hot.

After 15 minutes, my friend's warmed up steak returned, and we were promised "a few more minutes" for the two replacement entrees. 30 minutes after that, we left without having received the grilled chicken breast replacement entrees.

Strangely enough, nobody seemed very concerned about this. We were given a 10% discount on the portions we did manage to eat.

The staff were friendly, and we did see other tables getting faster service with different servers, so YMMV.
