The Bison flank steak was very tender and flavorful. Cream of asparagus soup was great despite the waiters attempt to convince me not to order it,

There just aren't too many places that serve good food around Bryce...it really is in a remote area.
Ruby's outside the park just fills the trough (anyone remember "The Ballad of Cable Hogue?). The food here is good (not great or destination level) and its expensive...but then again it has to be shipped in. Nice service and the hard to duplicate National Park Lodge atmosphere. Your best choice in the area even though its a bit high in price

Pros: Only source for a hot meal in the park, convenient if staying in the park, excellent prime rib, breakfast buffet reasonably priced, egg substitute available for no extra cost, several of the draft beers were excellent local Utah products. Probably the best meal you will find within an hour's drive of the park.

Cons: Only source for a hot meal in the park, can be pricey, dinning room is quite dark, service is slow paced (probably intentional), box lunch was average at best and way over-packaged. I sure hope no one left this trash behind since there were multiple plastic items inside the box lunch.

This is the only sit down restaurant if you staying in the park. It has a nice menu, with some interesting selections. Some of the items are offered as a 1/2 order which was great for me. Make sure you come early for dinner, they do not take reservations and by 6:30 Pm there as over an hour wait.

Very good food, but we felt it was somewhat overpriced......most items seemed to be priced on the high side...portions OK...service was good
