At the end of the Canyon Road, Bristlecone is a short but scenic loop. Easy hike, good trail, clearly mark. Excellent views of the canyon. We were able to extend the hike by taking some of the connecting trails and were led to great viewing areas. Nice easy loop to help get conditioned for some of the other hikes.

This is a easy trail but the scenery is truly amazing. Tall trees, blue sky and orangish mountains. I was glad I didn't miss this hike!

This a a nice, easy trail that meanders through the woods to the rim and back. Offers wonderful views at the rim. Worth doing if you drive up to Rainbow Point.

This loop needs a car to drive to the end. It's at the very end of park and starts on the right when you park the car. It is very well marked and very easy with no inclinations. There are lots of beautiful trees and views of canyon. It was weirdly quiet there with not even the smallest bird sound. We saw two chipmunks but that was after we just stood there very quiet for 5 minutes. The evalavation is higher here and it is cooler. I needed a thin jacket but after .5 miles I got warm enough to not need it. There are restrooms here. Watch for any snakes as they say it is an area prone to rattlesnakes. We didn't see any but kept watch. We did get to see a falcon which I understand are on extinction list so that was a delightful sight to see it soar through the canyon.

we saw some really cool birds circling the canyon and enjoyed the easy walk around. It is a great way to see a lot without doing the swichbacks down and UP that you need to do going into the canyon
