“Take the Extended Rainbow Point Bus Tour”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We signed up in advance for the Rainbow Point Bus Tour which will pick up and drop off at Ruby's Inn. This turned out to be a great decision and a wonderful tour. A full four hours, you make numerous stops and go all the way to Rainbow Point, which is considered "the end of the line" in Bryce Canyon. Stunning, breathtaking views. Our tour guide was a wonderful gentleman who was well-informed, humorous and gracious. We had plenty of time at each stop for photos. As a gardener, I especially appreciated how our guide also pointed out many of the wild flowers and other foliage along the way. We saw lots of wildlife too, including pronghorns and mule deer. The tour itself is free but you will need to pay for admission to the park. (We had an annual pass which I highly recommend if you are visiting several National Parks in one year.)

“Awesome Viewpoint”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The drive to Rainbow Point (9.115 ft elevation) is worth the time. We drove here after a 20 minute rain shower. It was great, because a lot of people left the park when it rained and we pretty much had the area to ourselves to snap pictures of the spectacular view. Hop in your car and do the drive, it will be worth your while!

“Offers great views (on clear days)”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Offers great views on clear days to the south and to the east. It's worth driving to Rainbow Point and seeing the various viewing points from the point and on the way back to the park entrance. The Park Service has two bus trips on that route each day. It's free and it's definitely worth it if you have time!

“Beautiful ride out to Rainbow Point!”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

We were staying at Ruby's RV Park so my hubby & I along with friends and family rode the street motorcycle out to Rainbow Point. The shuttle bus doesn't go that far so you have to drive there. Along the way we saw antelope and deer and there are lots of other lookout points on the way back from Rainbow Point. Once you get there the views are amazing, well worth the drive.

“Rainbow Point is a great mix of views and enchanting Alpine Forest.”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Everything in Bryce is stunning, but Rainbow Point just puts and exclamation point on everything that you have seen up to this point. The highway finally ends at the southernmost point and you are 9100 ft. up in the air.

The parking is ample, there are restrooms here, so park and spend some quality time in the middle of nowhere, but close to paradise. The overlook provides areas of stunning views of the relatively nearby Bryce beauty and the marvels just east of the park on Hwy 12 (a must do scenic drive). Just to the right of the outlook point are some trails that take you through a magical forest. It's not crowded and it's level, so just take your time for a leisurely stroll at the top of the world.

It may be a little chilly and will undoubtedly be windy, but nothing can distract from this magnificence of what I think is the most beautiful National Park in this nation. Glacier, yeah I know, I will eat these words the next time I visit.

This drive to the top is an absolute must do in Bryce, to not make the drive is to miss out on why you came here. Just do it.
