It makes no sense given the name, but the sunset at sunset point is not all that amazing. Skip it. Instead, go here for sunrise, which is amazing. (I'd guess it's also amazing at Sunrise Point, but can't say for sure.)

For the best sunset, go to Paria View. Not sure why they didn't call that one Sunset Point. Would have made far more sense.

We arrived here during March and snow was still on the ground and was definitely a bit colder than usual. Definitely check the weather before coming if it’s just for a day visit. The name is for what time during the day to visit.

We went to the 4 overlooks that were open and Sunset was our favorite. It is easy to get to and the views are stunning. We were there in March and most of the park was closed because of snow but the snow on the amphitheater is spectacular. We have traveled a lot and the view here is truly stunning.

Beautiful walk to see this outstanding jewel of nature. Colorful and awe-inspiring. Well worth the short hike for an unforgettable vista of Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area. If you appreciate geology, you will love this stop in Bryce.

Note at sunset that you will not see the actual sun setting or the colors involved. What you encounter is the sun setting behind you which lights up the rocks in front of you proving a bright glow making the hoodoos pop even more from the background than usual. Because of the elevation behind you, you wont actually see the sunset, I think many people were expecting something different. Even in the middle of the afternoon this view was incredible and worth checking out.
