To get down to this trail at Bryce, you start at 9000 feet and go down and then up and down and up and down and then go back up to 9000 feet. Although the combined Navajo Trails and Peek aBoo are only 5-6 miles, the altitude and up and downs make for a full first day!

This is the best hike we made in Bryce Canyon. This is challenging hike of about 5 miles with great scenic views of the canyons and hoodoos. Part of the trail was snow covered which made the hike more of a challenge. I am a professional photographer and saw more on this trail to photograph (scenery, birds and wildlife) than any other trail in the park.

At each turnout to take photos, you assume that it CAN'T be as beautiful as the last, but every turnout offers it's own, and different beauty.

There are many switch backs on this one, up walk around, see the hoodoos and tunnels then go down. Repeat. Way cool stuff though. Mid March still had snow, ice and mud so be aware of that. The weather was great, it actually snowed a little in the morning then warmed up. I can't see doing this when its hot. You get a work out.

I took the bottom-up combination of the Peek-a-Boo loop and Bryce Point spur (about 5.5 miles total). This was a fantastic hike that had me stopping in awe several times on the way. There was ice on a few parts of the trail - especially the Bryce Point spur - so wear appropriate shoes and bring a hiking stick or trekking poles to help. A more-challenging hike than the Navajo or Queen's Garden Loops, so be prepared and bring enough water (none available at Bryce Point).
