Avoid the crowds and take this trail for a full day experience. Boots and sticks and water are important. This trail has all the features but with a more open feel. Too long for young children and unused by the horses--oh, bummer.

Good trail, lots of photo ops. The only thing is, first you go down, down, down, and then, well you know, you have to come up, up, up to get out of the canyon. It's not really a problem as long as you take your time, but if you're hiking when it's hot out then go early so you're not hiking uphill in the hottest heat of the day.

The problem with Fairyland loop is that the sign is positioned so you only see it after coming out of the park. There is no fee for fairyland, so if you don't have a national park pass or $25 this is a good place to experience Bryce for FREE! The path is a nice hike, but remember if you hike down you have to hike back up! Take water no matter what time of year, this is the desert.

fairyland had the most hoodoos that you could actually walk to and get a closer look. It truly looked like a fairytale place and is closest to the entrance of the park.

This was an incredible hike through the hoodoos. Eight miles but not incredibly strenuous and the sights were awesome.
