We did this in a day, but wish we had longer. Incredible views, amazing things to see and learn. The weather was also perfect, so that helped. Not sure I'd take little kids. My 10 year old made me plenty nervous walking all over the rocks by the ocean. We did the entire loop and loved it all.

Thank Chris C

The park staff are terrific! They know everything and couldn't be more helpful. In fact, they're so helpful you need to allow extra time for their very detailed answers to your questions.

Park has beautiful pristine views. Lots of lakes and waterfalls. About a 27 mile drive with lots of panoramic views and photo ops. Places to stop and hike around. Gift centers were also helpful. Was quite foggy when we got to the top,of Cadillac Mountain so could not see much of the view but was told it was breathtaking. Well worth the drive

We spent 5 full days in the National Park and could have spent many more. The views a breath taking as the waves hit the rocky coastline. Sandy Beach and a short walk along the path leading to Thunder Hole is a great way to view the coastline. From Thunder hole you can look over to Otter Cliffs. Jordan Pond Restaurant is halfway through the park and a dessert is a must. More calories than i should eat in one day. The carriage rides are very informative and take you through some of the back country. Any walking trail or carriage trail are a good way to see critters. We saw a few red squirels and a couple of deer at different times.

Here you can get your individual or vehicle passes to travel Acadia and for a modest price of $5 per person or $10 per vehicle you can get a weekly pass as well as get some information on the best places to check out. They also have a great scale model/map of the entire Mt. Desert Island.
