“South ridge trail”

Kind of long but well worth the time and effort...it offers unbelievable panoramic views not far from tge start if the trail. If you are not up for the whole hike you could leave a car at the top so when you get up there you can drive down ;)

“every view, every part of Acadia is special”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We stopped by Acadia while on a cruise stop and agreed we must return for another visit and spend a lot more time. The park and is a national treasure and look forward to spending time taking classes and being more able to absorb the natural beauty. If you can time your visit during a nice day all the better. We had clouds and cool weather but not fog.

“Best to visit on a sunny day...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

It was mostly cloudy/foggy on the way up to Cadillac Mtn. We didn't get to see much but I'm sure its worth the view when its clear. But I did enjoy smelling the fresh pine in the air.

“Beautiful view, plenty of people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Visited here on October 12, 2012 during our visit to Bar Harbor, Maine and Acadia National Park. Beautiful view at sunset. Most people say sunset prettier. Highest point on eastern seaboard. People, people everywhere. Make sure you have warm clothing.

Highly recommended and would visit again.

“Beautiful view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012 via mobile

On a nice day the view is outstanding. If the day is cool at sea level, assume it will be very cold at the top. The walking path gives you a view of the vicinity and interpretive signs tell you what you are seeing. Worth a few minutes from a sightseeing day.
