We were in the mood for seafood and tried this place having walked past it a few times previously en route to the supermarket as our apartment was just 5 minutes away.

The restaurant was jam-packed when we arrived circa 8pm and we had to queue for 20 minutes before a table was available (not uncommon if you go out to eat anywhere popular in Zante Town between 8 and 10.30).

I can see why it's so popular as the decor is interesting, and the set menu was really good value at 9.50 euros (if you hadn't purely gone for a fish dish that is as they were scarce on the set menu). Consequently, we went a la carte - I had swordfish and my partner had bream. Both were tasty, however we were really disappointed in the accompaniment of chips and yellow rice (the latter which was cold). A simple side salad would have been much more appropriate.

Having said that I still thought it was good value for money - 2 starters, 2 mains, bottle of wine, raki and the free dessert plus digestif offered by the restaurant.

The one thing that was very noticeable was that the waiters were completely rushed off their feet and lots of tables were struggling to get their attention, leaving some diners visibly frustrated. We were situated a fair bit inside the restaurant near the bar/kitchen area so it was easier for us to nab the waiter's attention as they whizzed in and out of the kitchen, but I guess that's high season for you.

Once we'd visited we didn't feel the urge to go again during our 10 night stay as we just preferred a less frantic environment, but probably worth visiting during your stay.

we went here for lunch. Set right on the harbour front in Zante town. Mainly Greek people eating here, and it did help having somebody with us who can speak the language. The service is a bit slow, but the restaurant was busy. What I like about this place is that you choose what you want to eat from paper menus, put a tick or cross next to what you want and let the kitchen do the rest. Most dishes are served meze style, and are served to the table as and when they are cooked, and in the pots and pans that they are cooked in! So don't expect everything to come at once. This all amounts to a very long and leisurely lunch. Fine to pass the time people watching and to stay out of the midday sun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as something different, especially if you are in Zante town.

This restaurant is mainly a seafood taverna. It has large portions of food. The saganaki mussels were good, the grilled shrimps were good and the fried baby squids. They start bringing the food as it is ready, they don’t bring the food for everyone at the same time. One of us ordered some chicken and did not receive his food. When we asked the waiter about the chicken he said it will come. Everybody else at our table finished eating and the chicken did not arrive. When we said to the waiter to cancel the chicken order he only then wanted to give the order to kitchen. Unacceptable!

We ordered from the daily menu. The Dorado was probably the tastiest I ever had... Main course + salad and + half a liter of wine costs around 20 EUR - for a couple! The portions were huge, my girlfriend couldn't finish it. Would recommend to everyone, and would return again! Thank you!

When i go to a Greek restaurant which serve sea food near the sea i wait for a real fresh see food and not for a frozen one, which is also expensive for it price. Went there with family to eat and service was to slow and food not a good quality as we were waiting for. Not back again for sure.
