“great home baking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

Its an alladins cave of local history but when you're done go and get a coffee and some cake. The cafe is small but cosy and the home baking is as it should be, fresh and tasty. Coffee's ok too.

“Ayrshire Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

This museum is fabulous, over three floors it is filled with excellent costume, furniture, household items, tools and farm implements from rural Ayrshire. In addition the working parts of the Mill can also be viewed. Follow your tour with homemade soup, or cakes from the Miller's Kitchen Coffee Room and you will not be disappointed.

“Charming and quirky”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2012

This is much more than a restored mill (not working). The costume collection is fascinating, and the bygone bring back old memories. The tea room is quaint and the quality of the food good at very reasonable prices.
The setting is very peaceful.
Probably most memorable were the staff - very helpful, pleasant, and keen to chat.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2012

really delightful place.although only a short drive from glasgow you get the feeling of being in the country, miles from anywhere.a quaint tearoom with excellent home baking, try the rhubarb pie,the small antique shop has a resident lhasa apso guard dog.really nice walk along the river.aIt also hasd a small museum and a working mill wheel.all in all a nice visit.
