We had an absolutely perfect stay over a wet and wild November weekend so it must be even more blissful in the spring or summer. The hut is beautifully made and equipped with everything either a couple (or family of four in our case) could need. Impeccably clean as well which is very important to us. The en-suite shower room was lovely and the wood burner kept us toasty and warm on a stormy night so we felt very cosy and content. We sadly didn't have much luck getting the hot tub up to temperature before it was too late at night to use so I would recommend asking the lovely owners Dave and Vicki to get it ready for you if you are out all day. The farm is beautifully managed and there are wonderful footpaths in all directions across the fields right from outside the hut door. The autumn colours on the trees around the farm and along the footpaths were stunning and the children enjoyed playing in the streams dotted around the farm. All in all a really lovely weekend so thank you Vicki and Dave for creating such a charming place to stay. We will be back...!

We spent a long weekend in the Safari Tent as a group of friends at the beginning of August and had a wonderful time. The tent itself came with ample facilities for a self-catering break and we were all pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the interiors, especially the beds. The hot tub and fire pit provided hours of enjoyment and made for the perfect way to spend an evening outside.
The surrounding areas offer plenty of choice when it comes to exploring Devon with beaches, coastal walks and shops all within a short distance. How lovely it was to spend a day at Sidmouth knowing a warm shower was waiting for us upon our return!
Thank you for having us Vicki and Dave and truly helping to put the glam into glamping; regular camping will never be the same again.

We spent 2 nights in Dave and Vicki's Shepherd's Hut. It provides the perfect balance of luxury and the feeling of being 'off-grid'

We enjoyed cooking our meals both over the firepit as well as on the gas cooker in the hut, then dined on the patio in the sun.

The wood-fired hot tub was amazing, it stays hot for ages, we were lounging in it for several hours and just a couple of logs kept it warm as a bathtub! We loved that it was filled with fresh clean spring water, with no chlorine added to it, so no nasty smell or stingy eyes!

We were woken by the sun rising and the birds singing, had a morning run down the river Otter, which is just down the hill from the hut, we didn't quite reach the pub as the river has recently eroded the footpath, but it was lovely how quiet it was, only one dog walker was seen while we explored, unfortunately we didn't see any beavers this time, but we probably weren't looking hard enough!

We eventually made it to the pub by driving to Tipton St John in the evening. The Golden Lion is just a few minutes down the road by car, and the food there is excellent, we highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful couple of nights at Knightstone Farm Retreat, a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend in Otter's Holt, the delightful shepherd's hut. As we drove down, it as a daunting prospect with forecasts of winter showers but it turned out to be a memorable experience. It had been raining hard when we arrived and we were thankful we had brought the wellies (it is in a field but a very well kept field).

After lighting the little log burner, the little hut was warm and toasty. It is amazingly designed and has everything that you need - hot water on demand, a perfect little bathroom, a 2 ring gas hob and an oven, teeny fridge, comfy double bed, clever storage space. Nothing was missing!

The hut faces due East and to our delight, we woke on our first morning to sun streaming in. After breakfast at the clever little breakfast bar, we explored the fabulous surrounding area including a great seafood lunch at Hix in Lyme Regis.

One of the highlights was the evening in the log burning hot tub watching a glorious sunset. Ok, it was 3 hours to get it hot but that was from icy cold and provided great entertainment for my other half. Did I mention the Champagne, jelly beans and laughter?

All in all, a great introduction to glamping - a high quality, fun, stylish experience and one we'll be returning to. Vicky and David who run it are an absolutely lovely couple too and have thought of everything.

The owners, vicki and Dave have a wonderful site in a field next to their dairy farm. It has one Safari tent and one Shepherds Hut, we stayed in the latter. They are both private, and each have their own fire pit with a tripod grill rack you can lower down to cook your food on. They both also have a wood fired hot tub which takes a few hours to heat but is worth it! Also for just £6 a night extra, you can have your own chickens to look after which is great for the kids, and the fresh eggs in the morning from them are amazing!

The Shepherds hut was very luxurious, and came with all bedding and towels. It also had all the kitchen utensils and washing up bits. There is a wood fired stove to keep you warm, a 2 ring gas hob and a small gas oven/grill and a small fridge. You will also get your own toilet inside and a lovely double nice instant heating shower :) The beds are a king size really cosy one, and a bunk bed, the top of which pulls up to make the bottom into a sofa. Outside were some chairs and a table, and also 2 sun loungers.

The field is yours to use, and down some steps is a funky rope swing, a little fishing lake which you can cast in, and some lovely footpaths to the river etc....

Finally, there is a little shed which has some essentials you can use such as chopped wood, cereal, honey and firelighters etc.....

The owners were very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The site was lovely and very quiet. There is lots to see in the area, Sidmouth beach only 6 miles away, and there is a fairly large Sainsburys in Ottery just down the road with a butcher and other local shops too. We would definitely stay again, and my kids aged 3, 7 and 12 all had a wonderful time. It was for sure,a very relaxing, luxurious and fun break and I would recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: Safari Tent Larger, but Shepherds hut more luxurious
