Being in the slightly older age group and not too experienced we opted for the shortest trip. Had a brilliant couple of hours on the river where we saw numerous birds including several sightings of kingfishers. There were a couple of 'interesting' moments trying to navigate the small rapids but given that the water is very shallow in these places there is no real danger. One of the best bits was the trip over the dam on a man made slide. I so wanted to go back and have another go! The staff made sure we had all the necessary safety equipment and gave a full explanation of the route to take. We will definitely be back for another go if we return to the area. Perhaps next time we will go for the longer route.
