“Beautiful gardens”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Lovely gardens and ponds with bridges to walk over. A rainforest walk, and easy walking paths etc. well worth a visit. Best to drive to gardens because although they are close to shops they are at the bottom of a very steep hill.

“Reasonable diversion from the crowds”
Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

Rambling paths and a few nice spots for viewing but not much peace and quiet on a Sunday. Well tended but not all plants labelled so weren't always sure what we were looking at.

“Great place to picnic”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Weather was perfect to have a wander around this garden created mainly by volunteers with assistance from council. It is a credit to the people involved. No entry fee but there are donations boxes. Look for the large eels in the pond. The rainforest creek was running strongly so it was nice to sit by it. Some old world gondwana trees. The camilleas are wonderful too. Lots of choices for picnic with tables in several areas. Watch out for the brazen kookaburras who will steal your food in a lightning fly by. Don't feed the wildlife it only makes them worse and not good for them either.
