“Very Enjoyable”

I really don't understand the negative reviews on this website. My sister and I had a lovely stay at Mt Tamborine Motel. Our room was very clean, had everything we needed including wine glasses and heating. The view was lovely and it was so nice to have breakfast on the private balcony, listen to the birds and watch the mist drift up from the valley and dissapear over the tree tops. As for complaints about hot water, maybe some impatient people cant wait one minute for the hot water to come through. Serve them right if they had a cold shower. Lol! We had lovely hot showers. Our room was nicely decorated, and although not a spacious room with the extra bed we required, it was definately adequate and for the price, good value for money. As for the tv, well, there is more to life than wide screen television. Thank you Vicki and Chris for a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Well worth walking up the two short flights of stairs to the second level.

We spent 2 nights at Mount Tamborine Motel and had great views from our room. The property is a little tired but our room was clean and well presented and amenities are certainly suitable for a short stay, We had dinner at St Bernards Hotel next door which is very convenient.

Great views but that’s where it ends. Whilst the rooms were clean (except for mould in the window cavity) they are sparsely furnished and hanging space for clothing limited. Bathrooms badly need refurbishment and the owners need to replace the tiny $99 flat screen TV’s with something you can view. Fan only barely kept the room cool during our stay. The pool area was unkept and rotting food left on the BBQ. A bit of TLC in removing cobwebs and mildew in the stairwells would be nice. Not good value for the money.

Room Tip: Go to another Motel

We enjoyed our one night stay at this motel. Rooms are clean & comfortable with great views of the hinterland. St Bernard's Hotel next door was a lovely pub to dine and have a few drinks as well. Will be happy to return.

We booked this motel based on their advert saying "stunning views from every room". The view was OK, not stunning.

The room was very, very basic. It was a good size, even with the queen and single beds but there was no table or chairs. The tv was really small. Pool full of leaves and tennis court looked as though it had not been used in years. The bathroom was very cold and the bedroom only had a small two bar electric fire on the wall.

Worst of all though, we couldn't get on the internet. Tried two laptops and two handhelds. we even asked reception to reset the router - still no joy and very frustrating.

This was not a cheap motel but it looked and felt like one - we certainly would not stay here again.

The night these guests stayed we experienced a freak hail storm which was reported in the national press. Unfortunately our internet did not work due to the weather.

We originally booked another hotel in Mount Tamborine and once we arrive we found the hotel had mould, stunk and was incrediably overpriced for what we got. We got back in the car and found Mount Tamborine Motel. We found the staff very friendly and helpful in our situation. The rooms are comfortable, clean and moden with great views. The motel has a pool, excellent sized rooms with foxtel. The motel was well priced and was value for money. The motel also has a pub next door which is very handy. Our family stay was very enjoyable and we recommend the motel highly.

We recently attended a birthday party/reunion at Mount Tamborine Motel. We had a reasonably large group and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and accomodating. The rooms are well equiped and along with the bathrooms are very clean. We had a great night sleep and waking up to those magnificent views in the morning is something I will not forget anytime some. Some of us were sharing four adults to a room and there was plenty of room for all of us and our luggage. We had shopped around and made enquiries at several other accomodation places on the Mountain, not only was the Motel the only one that offered a one night stay on the weekend, it was one of three places that could accomodate us all together. We chose the Motel in the end because of the location and price, like everyone, we are all on a budget and the Motel proved to be the best value. We had dinner in the restaurant next door and on the owner's advice went a short distance up the road for a wonderful breakfast the next morning. We had an enjoyable weekend, but Chris and Vicki made it that much better, thanks for having us - we will definately be back soon.
