“Beautiful place to stay”

We stayed a couple nights in the africa themed suite, was a very nice room, a great spot to stay and relax close to everything. Very friendly service, will be back again to test out the fire place in winter and enjoy breakfast on the deck :-)

We stayed at Maz's in November 2013, so the sunny and hot season. We arrive to enter a reception area that reeks of musk, the damp kind. 3 of our party (2 x couples) couldn't stand the smell and had to leave the reception area. The lady serving (I can't remember her name) us was very short with us, and was just not a good start. As she was showing us to our cabins we inquired about breakfast as it was included, and even that was a problem as they do set 15min blocks but as we were 2 couples and would like to eat together it was all too hard for her. We didn't want to push our luck asking for poached eggs. Everything was just too hard, and did not help us.
Maz's advertises a pool, and being November in Qld we were looking forward to an afternoon swim, only to find out from the grounds keeper (not reception) that the pool was broken in January 2013. That is 11 months and they have not fixed it, and are still advertising it... Nor did we get told about it at reception.
Rooms are quite nice, as are the rooms. A little dusty, but in Qld where isn't. You need the A/C, and they have fire places for winter.
Maz's is close to Gallery Walk, and not far in a taxi to a couple of pubs and eateries.
Oh, if you like coffee, I hope you like it black as the milk is very sparse.

Sorry, but the overall score is so poor as the level of service and general pleasantness we received has biased us so strongly that we had to wait this long before writing this review.

We had a lovely stay at Maz's. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have hoped for; comfortable beds,a spa more than big enough for two, a cosy fire-place to cuddle up in front of, a kitchen for preparing a nice meal and to top it off a beautiful breakfast served on our own private veranda. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the property itself is gorgeous and feels like a romantic rainforest hideaway. We can't wait to come back again for another weekend.

Awesome secret hideaway in the rain forest... Great room, brand new bathroom with a relaxing spa... Close to shops and the Gallery Walk. Awesome service - they make you feel very welcome and are very obliging. A romantic stay away was exactly what we needed!

We stayed last weekend at Maz's on Tamborine, the Indulgence Cottage, everything was beautiful, the ambience of the cottage is cosy and welcoming. The 4 post bed is super comfy, beautiful soft blankets to stay warm and a lovely fireplace. The owners are really nice and friendly, would definitely recommend staying here, especially for those who want a good central location on the Mountain but still private with
