“Great pub food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This place was always a winner and remains so following the dining room extension.
A great place to share good food with friends and family, and service provided by staff who take pride in their work.

“Great little pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

Really enjoy visiting The Irby Mill to drink or to eat, The food is very good and the staff work really hard. But this is a busy pub and quite small. There are times when you have to stand and you may not get a seat all night. For me this is part of a pub atmosphere. If you are going to eat you may have to stand and wait if a table is not quite ready or wait a little time for your food to be served. So please if you have an elderly person in your party who can't stand or you are expecting a silver service restaurant experience you should go somewhere else and not blame the staff.

“Great real ale pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

This pub, although small, is deceptive. It has a great range of real ales. You're lucky at weekends to get somewhere to sit!

“Great pub that lets dogs into the bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

A fabulous place to go to for great grub, its just been extended so its a lot easier to get a table. The roasts are fab, and plenty for the greater appetites.None of this bag stuff that pubs heat up and put out on a plate!! All great home cooking, anything from the basics, fish & chips to venison steaks, and kids food too. Not kids processed rubbish either, just smaller home cooked portions. Almost tempted not to review, cause its one of those places that if it gets too popular, then never get a table!
Oh and if you have a dog, as long as it behaves it can come into bar area if you fancy a drink after that long walk.....

“Great experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

Lovely little pub! Food is always great - menu is always changing with lovely meals to choose from - staff are very friendly and helpful - better than your average pub food - it is all homemade and you can tell the difference! Highly recommend going here but if you plan on going on the weekend I would recommend to book as they get very busy and to avoid disappointment!
