A fabulous cottage - well decorated and equipped. Great for our extended family to stay and explore the area.
Highly recommend. We had such a lovely stay, gorgeous cottage, well equipped and postioned. We were a little concerned that being quite near the very good local pub that it would be noisy but it was a very quiet location, close to the beach and two really handy local shops. Winterton on Sea is lovely, the local fish and chips were the best we have ever tasted.
We will defiantly be back.
Stayed at this lovely cottage with family for a long weekend in February. The pictures looked beautiful and the cottage didn’t disappoint. Located in the centre of the village, everything was within easy walking distance which was ideal for us as we had both the older generation and younger children in our group. Having two bathrooms was a bonus, and everything is well maintained and equipped. We loved seeing the seals on the beach, as well as the scrumptious breakfasts at the Dunes café. Handy that it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach from the cottage! Its even handier that the local pub is just up the road. Loved our stay in Winterton and we’ll be back soon!
Lovely cottage, everyone very friendly in the village, took both dogs down to the beach every morning for a swim . Would recommend sitting by the river by the
Swan inn at Horning eating from their varied menu. Would come again.
Stayed here with my brother and two sisters. Youngest 59 - oldest 69. The cottage was lovely and In a beautiful well kept village. Across the road from a pub where dogs are welcomed. And minutes from the beach. Amenities in village include a post office, a well stocked grocers store, fish and chip shop, and locals selling fresh eggs , vegetables and home baked goods. There is also a village hall and a church. There are lots of lovely coastal villages within a short distance - but the highlight of our trip was going to Horsey Beach and seeing the grey seals. AMAZING. Big thanks to Jean ( next door neighbour ) who was a mine of information about the area and our point of contact if any problems. We all had a great time.

We had a beautiful holiday at Periwinkle cottage. The place was spotless and there was plenty of room for everyone.
The position of the cottage could not have been better: 5 minutes from the beach and 30 seconds from the pub.
The neighbour, who is also the housekeeper, was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. One day she came round with a plate of jam tarts for the children. Lovely Norfolk hospitality.
I would recommend Periwinkle to anyone wanting a perfect, tranquil holiday on the Norfolk coast.
