Situated up private lane which meant very quite location, perfect for us. Well kept, comfortable and cosy cottage. Great secure garden for dogs and children. Property as described with almost everything thought of. (A freezer would have useful). Blessed with glorious weather so made good use of garden which is a real suntrap & made full use of bbq. Locals very friendly. Good fish and chip shop. Thank you Lynne for a wonderful holiday home.

“A lovely holiday.”

The village of Winterton-on-sea is such a lovely place and extremely dog friendly. We took 3 dogs and they had a great time. The cottage was clean and welcoming and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a pint of milk on the door step, and tea bags in the cupboard; you need a cuppa after a long journey. I would strongly recommend Sevena Cottage; in fact I already have. Thank you Lynne.

“An amazing holiday in a wonderful cottage close to the beach”

The cottage was clean and tidy and very well equipped with lots of added extras e.g. teabags, milk, washing up liquid etc. The beach and the sand dunes were very close and an amazing way to exercise the dog. The villagers were very friendly and welcoming even invited us to a street party for the Queens' birthday. The broads were nearby and it is easy to hire a boat for ther day. A wonderful holiday. Thanks Lynne.

“Better than home!”
Reviewed May 25, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The minute you walk into this cottage you'll fall in love. We arrived quite late in the day but the directions were clear and we were able to park and put our feet up in no time at all. The owner had made sure we had the kit to make a cup of tea, which was lovely!

Everything from the stylish kitchen and cozy living room to the peaceful bedrooms with comfy beds made our holiday relaxing and easy, and the garden completely blew us away - I sat outside at every opportunity.

A good night's sleep, a short walk across dunes to a dog friendly beach, a pub and chip shop just down the lane, boat hire and good walking only minutes away - what more could you want?

“Cosy dog-friendly cottage near the most stunning beach”
Reviewed January 19, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

The winter finally decided to arrive the weekend in January we visited Sevena Cottage. Outside gales were lashing with snow and sleet, but we were warm and cosy tucked up by the fantastic woodburner. This fire controls the radiators, which is a tad challenging for the inexperienced, but we got the knack of it eventually. And in the meantime there were electric heaters if we needed them (we didn't). We were very grateful for a good supply of kindling, logs and coal.

Sevena is a small 3-bedroomed cottage with a long garden stretching up to a summerhouse. Visiting in winter we didn't make any use of the garden - apart from picking a few herbs to add to our casserole - but I imagine it would be splendid in the summer months. The bedrooms have very comfy beds and we all slept soundly after long beach walks. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped - real home from home - with every pot, pan and tool we needed to cook for ourselves whilst we were there (though there is also an excellent pub nearby - and a fish and chip shop). The bathroom is small but has the most amazing shower! The sitting room was just large enough for the 5 of us plus 2 dogs; you have to get the table out for eating as there isn't really enough room for it to be fully extended all the time. But that wasn't a problem - it was a good use of the space. And when extended the table was a good size for a group meal or board games. Oh yes - there was a good selection of games, jigsaws and dvds in the cupboard. There really was everything we could have wanted and Lynne, the owner, was available by phone if we had any problems.

But probably the best thing about Sevena is its proximity to the wonderful beach - miles and miles of golden sand (dogs allowed in winter - not sure of the situation in summer). And the icing on the cake was - Baby seals!! Just a short walk along the dunes.

What more could we have asked for (apart from slightly better weather?)

“Cosy, quaint home from home”
Reviewed January 15, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We saw hundreds of seal babies on the beach!!!!! What an incredible place. Loads of lovely walks that start literally from the front doorstep. The village and beach are amazing and the cottage is so close to the beach.
We loved the rustic/ethnic style of the place - you seem to have ornaments and pictures from all over the world! Lovely. Didn't really use the tv or wifi because we were trying to have a break from technology! But when we needed to google a couple of things it worked well.
The place was kept lovely and warm by the coal powered heating system - even when it got freezing outside!! (Bring hats and scarves and gloves for icy walks on the beach!!!)
The beds are so comfy. Slept the best I have in years!! Lovely sheets and towels too. Shower was lovely and warm too.
Only regret is not being able to see the place in summer! Bet the beach is amazing and would love to have been able to sit in the lovely garden but it was just too cold!
