Came for a meal Saturday lunchtime to catch up with old school friends. Superb food and wine, efficient, friendly and courteous service and a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Read a few different reviews and not all good on this outlet both on here and different review sites but decided to see for ourselves. A fabulous place, can eat in bar or in restaurant, two very nice young professional gentlemen serving and the food wow a gammon the size of plate with egg and a slice of fresh pineapple was the best gammon I have ever had.£10 a good lunch time price Chef came for the kitchen in the basement and had a chat too so we passed on our compliments to him. Criticism? Well a 125 ml (small) glass of wine was £3.40 GULP! Glad I didn't get a large one.Would return and would encourage people to go, have already told a few people about this place, Well done

We visited here last night. Good local beers on draught.
Service was excellent as were the 3 rump steaks and bottle of Shiraz
At about £30 each it was also great value

Have been going to the gunnery since it has been open and also when it was stuart's table, for years. The staff are a great team, always very polite, attentive and friendly. The food is always delicious and something new every time we go to try. The Gunnery has a great atmosphere, they have a great selection of wines and lots of thought has gone into their wine menu. Reasonably priced. Always enjoy ourselves whenever we go here, whoever I'm with.

I use to dine at the farmers arms and loved it. So glad Stuart has the gunnery now. Love the casual friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient food and wine excellent. Early bird menu is great when meeting friends after work. Visit here at least once a month and never been disappointed. Keep up the good work
