I thought this would be a lovely place to stay given the good reviews on website and recommendations by Joe Swash (this morning feature - 2009), for my husband and I and our black lab, esp as it was a doggie friendly inn.
Our room was tiny and dark, the bed sunk in the middle, and to top if off I found a needle in the bed! Fortunately it was covered by a plastic lid but given I am pregnant this could have been very dangerous!
The staff were friendly and the food was nice and dogs are certainly well catered for - a bowl of sausage bits was offered for the dog at breakfast - a nice touch.
I would say its much more dog friendly than people friendly and suggest if you do book a room, you ask what size the room is and dont get no 6!More
