I so enjoyed my visit in April that I wanted to come again to celebrate my birthday in October. We were greeted by Tim, who helps run the place as Philip and Liesel were busy with their new project in London. Tim was every bit the perfect host, as is Philip, who arrived the following day.
We asked about mussels for dinner and Tim went to buy them fresh. They were quite delicious, as was all the food we had while staying there. There is now a young Polish couple who run the kitchen and serve at meals and they were very competent.
The room was clean but I noticed that the luxurious dressing gowns that had been provided on my previous visit were absent . The shower was not draining properly but that was a minor matter.
I really enjoy the atmosphere of the place. It is better to mix than to keep to yourselves and one cannot help but like larger than life Philip..
