“Great Family House”

Recently stayed at this property with 3 adults and 3 young children (7,8 &10). The location is great, being on the edge of the New Forest on the outskirts of Bransgore. The village centre has some great little shops and some very good pubs (Three Tuns in particular) and is approximately 15 minute walk away (0.9 miles). The house itself was very good, large and spacious with clean and tidy bedrooms. The owner was there to meet us on arrival and showed us around and helped out (via phone) during the week when we couldn't find things. The grounds of the house are great with a large lawn containing a good trampoline and BBQ / patio area, and additional fields that have geese, chickens, sheep, rhea and alpaca (yes!) roaming around them. The only reason I haven't marked this property as excellent is because of the price vs quality. I've stayed in many rental properties over the years and for this price you would expect everyting to be workng and signs of wear and tear to be minimal. This house is beginning to show to show its age (only slightly though) and some of the fixtures and fittings need updating. Overall a great base for exploring the forest and somewhere the family can truly relax in after a busy day.

“Wonderful house for friends or family to share”

We stayed as a group of 4 couples, 1 baby and 1 dog for a few days over New Year. On arrival the house was beautifully presented, felt very homely and had been made to feel Christmassy and a home from home.

The house is spacious and traditional, kitchen with gas Aga, living room with large open fire and a massive basket of wood provided, garden with roaming Chickens, well presented bedrooms and plenty of space for everyone.

The house is located close to the small town of Christchurch and all of the nearby beaches, but also in the New Forest.

Nearby pubs are about 1 mile away, and a few village amenities. Larger supermarkets within 10 mins drive.

It was a hassle free and relaxing break for us all, we would all come back again for a summer break to take full advantage of the large conservatory and garden.

“A beautiful house in an excellent location”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Such a beautiful property that makes you feel relaxed the moment you enter. Great local tips from the owners who were only too happy to help. A beautiful pub around the corner with amazing food, as well as a cycle hire shop just down the road to make it easy to explore the new forest. Highly recommended!

“Perfect base for beach and forest in Dorset”

Ideal base for forest and beach. Children friendly as massive open space or them to run around in. Local pub is excellent.
