“Disappointing and over priced”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Over the years we have visited the three tuns many times. It has unfortunately gone significantly down hill. Yesterday (tuesday 13th august) We ordered 2no mudeford specials the risotto which came with this was disappointing being very undercooked. We also ordered the bangers and mash, unfortunately the sausages were very tough and chewy certainly not worth the hefty price tag. The meals then came with a huge bowl of vegetables which looked like they had been taken out of a microwave bag and sloped into a bowl. Not impressed!

“Amazing Food & Atmosphere”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We ate here with friends on Saturday night and it was excellent. The food was superb, and the service was first class. I agree with some of the reviews, in as much as its not the cheapest, but it is all freshly cooked and you can tell by the taste. We eat out a lot and in many different places with friends, but the Tuns has a great atmosphere, is always friendly and has some great beers & wines, coupled with how clean, tidy and well kept it is. We will certainly go back again at some point this year when we have some time. Meanwhile keep it up, such a lovely place.

“Gone seriously down hill, such a shame”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We have recently been eating here quit a lot but our last two visits have been disappointing.
On 28th July we had Sunday lunch here and it was awful!
They are obviously relying on their recent popularity to go "up market" and maximise profits.
The prices have definitely gone up but sadly standards and service have gone down.
I don't know if maybe it's changed hands recently there was a rude young man who was acting as if he was the manager who I haven't seen before.
When complaints were made to him he just ignored them and walked of to get the bill.
It's a shame because it used be very good and we enjoyed eating here, we won't be doing so again...

“Excellent Celebration”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

There were 21 of us from 4 different countries for a family celebration. I had pre-ordered the starters and main courses with Richard who was most helpful. Due to the extreme heat we asked if we could delay eating for an hour and have drinks in the lovely garden. When the meal was served, all the various starters were served at the same time and all were hot, same for the main meal. Everyone enjoyed the gourmet food, the service, friendly staff and the great atmosphere. We certainly will be back next year

“Very good for Real Ale”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Been 3 times this year just for the beer. Good value, not cheap but where is? They seem to have a couple of guest ales on when visiting but can recommend the Otter Ales.
The beer festival last Sept (2012) was fantastic. Shall be going again this year.
