Pizza is truly authentic, made from scratch. The dough was very good...
Olive oil is used in all his cooking.

We arrived at shaxi expecting to have to eat rice with chicken and rice noodles for the whole stay. But we were very wrong! We found this place, just 30mts down the road of the main square in direction to the east gate.
We went three times in two days...
Everything is homemade by the couple that runs the place, everything! Even the cheese they use for the pizza. He is Italian so he makes some delicious western food. The best we tried in Asia, and better than the ones we tried in Europe in earlier trips.
She is Chinese so she adds good local tips and gives the place the local atmosphere you're looking for when you are in a little town in the middle of the countryside of China.
Thank you guys!

It is such a charming little bistro with very homy atmosphere! Great pizza and Spaghetti, very easy-going casual environment to meet another people. We all sat together around chef Mauro's kitchen talking and enjoying the very yummy delicacy! We had a very nice evening there!

So surprised to find this tiny Italian bistro in Shaxi Old Town, I had my one of the best memory about Italian food and what so called a great fun night, thanks to the star chef “Mauro” a charming and entertaining host. Besides the homemade pizza, cheese and organic wine, you can even have milk/cheese foot bath while enjoying your wine on the accident street under the shining stars and silver moon. I can’t imagine anything better than that, after all day tracking back from ShiBao mountain, give your empty stomach a healthy and yummy treat, great music, wine and company, a foot bath to your exhausted feet. What else more can you expect, just a perfect ending for a lovely day. Recommend: Potato dumpling with mushroom and cream sauce, homemade cheese pizza, Tiramisu and milk foot bath, Hooray!!!
