We stayed at Somerset Medini over the weekend and was rather disappointed. Apart from its superb location - walking distance to Legoland, we were rather disappointed with this accommodation.

There were four of us (two adults and two young kids) but there were only two towels and two bottles of water provided. They refuse to provide more water when we requested.

The room was spacious but finishings seem somewhat cheap. The outside corridors and common areas, apart from the lobby, had no ac. And the breakfast was simply terrible. There was insufficient food, cups and cutlery; the spread was dismal, don't talk about the taste. People were primarily eating boiled eggs because that was probably the best thing to eat then. My kids munched on corn flakes..Breakfast was at a 'temporary' area.. It looked really haphazardly put together. We all had the runs that day. Will try to put up some photos later.

AND we were baffled when we had to pay for parking when we were paying guests! I have never come across a situation where I had to pay for parking as hotel guests..

Last but not least, when we woke up in the morning, the room smelt terrible. Turns out it was coming from a sewage pipe hidden in a cupboard in the pantry area! Yikes!

Booked apartment with 3 bedrooms. Very spacious and fantastic amenities. We got everything we wanted in the apartment. Walking distance to Legoland, across the road. Will definitely come again and would strongly recommend to friends.

Had a short staycation with my siblings, kids and mother. We booked the 3 bedroom premier, which is approximately 110 sqm, complete with kitchenette, in built convection oven, utensils, fridge and washer/dryer. The master bedroom comes with an attached bathroom and bathub while the remaining two rooms have a shared toilet. Our view on level 31 is awesome. The serviced residence is relatively new and well furnished, ideal for long term residents. IT literally is a home away from home, there is somewhat a sense of comfort and tranquility with the availability of the gym, kids playroom and infinity pool facing the Legoland hotel.

On the other hand, it would be great if they can offer in-house restaurants as the shops and eateries at Mall of Medini nearby would close early at 6-7 pm and for those who do not have their own vehicle, getting Uber or Grab would be challenging at night.

Breakfast is decent, it fills up your stomach but nothing spectacular.

Overall, the place is truly value for money and a great way to chill with your larger families without having to book three different rooms and being separated at different floors.

Would love to come again and see if the breakfast has improved.

Room tip: Choose high floor with view Facing Legoland.

New place. Rooms are very good, clean and nice. The area is very new and will be even better once fully developed. Legoland was only a walking distance. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as food was not replenished as soon as it was finished and there was no proper queue system so everyone was going to the push tray from all amgles of the newly food served. I believe the management are doing something about this. Once the kitchen is set up and the dining area fully done up it should be better.

Dear Firdaus J,

Thank you for your recent feedback.

We are delighted you had an enjoyable stay with us in our well appointed and spacious apartments. We are indeed working on plans for a major revamp of the breakfast service. Admittedly, being a newly opened property in a new area, there have been some challenges which we are working on continually to improve. We hope that our improvement initiatives will enhance our resident's dining experience.

We sincerely thank you for choosing to stay with us and hope to welcome you back soon.

Stayed here for 2 nights - one night in a 2 bedroom unit and another night in a 1 bedroom unit. Apartments are spacious, new and nice with a lounge and TV area, kitchen, fridge, washing machine, etc. Ideal for families especially since it is so close to Legoland (5 minutes walk) and also opposite Gleneagles hospital.

This service apartment just recently opened during February 2016 - so there are some teething issues. For example - reception staff are nice and helpful but the service can be a little slow and there are some junior staff who appear a little inexperienced.

Apart from Legoland and mall of Medini, there isn't very much activity around this area. Puteri Harbour nearby and 5-10 minutes taxi ride away could offer more choice of restaurants.

There is a nice swimming pool on the first floor and a nice garden area as well.

Breakfast was in a makeshift hall at the wellness center and was quite bad. However it is only temporary as their breakfast restaurant is being constructed.
