Staff welcoming throughout stay. Food tremendous, especially the turbot. Lovely 18th century Inn with roaring fire and very cosy atmosphere. Set in quiet little village.
Would definitely return.

Room Tip: We had a superior room included in deal which was nice, but if we were to stay for more the a couple of nights would find wardrobe space inadequate. We do realize it is an old Inn though.

We visited the Dennington Arms on a Travelzoo special offer for one night for dinner/bed/breakfast and champagne cream tea.
It was my birthday so my partner rang ahead to arrange for flowers for our room and to ask for a 'special room'.
We arrive not only to find the flowers ready and waiting but we had been given a room that had been converted from a victorian cottage at the back of the hotel in the annexe. The room even had the original cottage front door (now sealed) but also the original firplace as well. The room was delightful and very atmospheric..... you could almost envisage the original inhabitants coming in to their cottage!
Our champagne cream tea was enjoyed in front of a blazing log fire before exploring Dennington, a delightful village, at dusk when all the lights were just coming on and the smell of woodsmoke in the air.
The meal was very good with a reasonably priced bottle of Sicilian Merlot.
Next morning my partner breakfasted on his usual 'full english' next morning whilst I enjoyed a very generous portion of smoked salmon and scrambled egg.
The Dennington Arms is a lovely village inn very convenient for the eastern Cotswolds, which we would love to return to in the snow! So romantic!

Room Tip: The annexe at the back is very quiet with good sized rooms and the rooms forming pert of the 'Kings Arms Cottage' a delight!

The hotel is well organised and good value. The rooms are in an annexe which has been nicely done (not at all the guest hutches which some country pubs/hotels have slapped up in the car park!). Mine was arranged as a duplex 'suite', "which was nice".

Room Tip: Do not fear 'the annexe'

Room was clean, nice large bathroom and TV, bed uncomfortable. Breakfasts were nice, but as a vegetarian they give me black pudding instead of beans. Staff were friendly. The first dinner was lovely and service great. Second night the dinner was a fiasco. The couple on the opposite table described it as "faulty towers". Service disorganised with lots of mistakes made on our table and others nearby. Examples are they would not defillet the fish as the chef was too busy, ignored extra request for bread, mistook garlic bread for bread, burnt meals and missing courses. In their defence they were busy and did try to make amends for mistakes.

Stayed on the special offer available on travel zoo! Was excellent value including the meals the checkin was easy and everything was already arranged.
The room was not particularly outstanding but was homely and had a tv. The shower was good and the towels warm and clean.
The cream tea was lovely! And the evening meal proved this hotel was committed to good service there was nothing which really took our fancy on the market menu we had paid for as part if the deal. The manger was excellent and came up with some options for us to help us enjoy our meal! He was extremely professional and this made our day
Breakfast the next morning was very good although we went down at the end so some options weren't available.
The full English was good and toast was available with cereals to help yourself.
A lovely place with very good staff. Reception was very professional
