The Magamal is tucked away on the ground floor of a little shopping center anchored by a Bonus Supermarket. I found the owner setting out chairs and asked him about his offerings (since I don't read Icelandic). Good thing, too: I had the best lunch I had in Iceland, with a delicious soup, fresh codfish, and vegetables. The accent is on healthy and fresh foods.
This restaurant is close to the Hotel Laxnes, the Halldor Laxness Museum (Gljufrastein), and the Alafoss Wool Outlet.
