Description: Good restaurant and bar in the heart of Mosfellsbaer. Short walk from Hotel Laxnes and next to the largest super-market chain in Iceland. Great quality food, the best place in town to watch the sports and live music on fridays. We have three large HD projectors and 4 televisions so you can enjoy your favorite sports to the fullest. Fully equipped bar with a great icelandic beer selection.

We would never have found this bar if it hadn't been for TripAdvisor and, if we had, we wouldn't have gone in (the basis of the outside appearance). We've just got back from there and we're VERY glad we went, so thank you to the people who wrote the reviews!
Yes, there were 6 TV screens showing football (!) but there was no sound so it wasn't actually that obtrusive. The decor was functional but pleasant enough, the staff were charming and spoke excellent English and the food was great. My husband had a top quality home made burger (with bacon, cheese, tomato ...) and I had as good a fish dish as I've had ANYWHERE - absolutely delicious. That + a small beer and a huge sparkling mineral water came to around £22. We thought it was excellent value for the quality of food we had.
For heaven's sake, walk PAST the KFC, Dominoes and Subway and give it a try if you're in Mosfellsbaer. We can really recommend it.

We were struggling to find anywhere to eat out in this area (as with iceland generally) and had to ask in a pub if there was anywhere nearby. He told us of this place, which is tucked in the corner of a retail unit by a big supermarket. It really is nothing to look at from the outside, and we were dreading what we'd find when we opened the door. But inside we were pleasantly surprised! Modern furniture, very large/spacious. It was very quiet (weekday evening at about 6-6:30pm) but a few other people came along after us.

The food was good value for iceland and they sold lots of basic things like burgers and pizza. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was a bit messy but very tasty. We were pleased to have found somewhere quite reasonably priced and catering for relatively basic tastes (the boyfriend doesn't do posh/fancy food!).

Fresh fish was the best cod we have ever had! It was huge and cooked perfectly. Pizza was also massive. They gave us a box to take it away. Good beer, English menu and discount from Hotel restaurant. Much better than we thought when we stood outside

This seems to be a bar catering mainly with pizza, burger, chips and the like, which the kids loved but not me. I was saved by the 'fish special', this was a proper meal. The special of the day was ling, which I had never eaten before so did not know what to expect. The fish was lovely and cooked to perfection. From my low expectations I was greatly surprised and really enjoyed our meal. Staff were very friendly and even supplied a free icepop to the kids after their meals, which even in December in Iceland, they really enjoyed.

Excellent food in a sports bar environment. Not traditional but very acceptable; price medium. TV screens all around but sound off.
